My work is concerned with visual sensations and the spirit of place with things seen and felt. I like to work in the studio to translate into paint the imagery that I have encountered.

In 2011 he was awarded the Fellowship of the Glasgow Art Club at the RGI Exhibition. In 2015 he was awarded the House for an Art Lover at the RSW Exhibition .In 2022 was awarded the Committee Prize at the RSW Exhibition. In 2023 awarded The Richard Plincke Prize, Mall Galleries, London.
