Watermark Gallery was established at the end of 2015 and was initially an online gallery. We started out specialising in works of art on paper, as this is an area we knew most about as our main area of business is paper conservation. More about Artworks Conservation here.
As the business expanded we broadened our range of art considerably to include; ceramics, jewellery, sculpture and textiles as well as paintings, modern British prints and original illustration from children’s books. We now work with over 40 professional artists and makers who are based throughout the UK.
In February 2020, following an extensive three month refurbishment programme we opened Watermark Gallery in the centre of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Previously a post office, our new premises are light and spacious and ideally suited to gallery space. In addition to retail selling space, Watermark Gallery includes exhibition and workshop space for art events, talks and lectures.
