Cropton Forest IV

Cropton Forest is a beautiful woodland, mostly coniferous, on the eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park and I’ve returned to it time and time again over the years for artistic inspiration. I’ve always found the intense darkness between the trees so alluring and mysterious. There are multiple layers to explore within this landscape – tall linear tree forms, overgrown scrubland and deeply entrenched paths.
